I really hope so, i think it’s fair to assume his first goal from ownership was get the team to be competitive ASAP to get the attendance back. But hopefully once it’s clear it should be blown up, he’ll get a chance to rebuild something similar to Denver(I may be delusional)

The criticism of AKME is pretty wild. I understand that they fumbled this iteration, but their logic wasn’t terrible. With all our pieces (Lonzo) we were a pretty formidable squad, and they did that in like 1.5 years after inheriting a pile of dogshit.
I don’t love that they mortgaged our future in the form of draft picks, but that initial retool had Jerry Reinsdorf’s stink all over it. I question how much of that “win now” attitude was really AKME and how much was Jerry telling them to build a “contender” that they could sell to the fan base.
how they handle this mess of a roster that they’re left with at the moment will be more indicative to me. We’ll see.

This is both true and false, AK didn’t do it himself by far. Connolly is heavily credited as well and argued to have had a bigger impact in the selections/decisions made. Take it with a grain of salt that overall Denver had tons of talent in the office.
