Don't trade 2nd pick to Pels, May be if front office is convinced that Brandon Miller is not far off from Scoot then trade the 2nd pick to portland for 3rd pick plus three more 1st round picks. Then portland can deal with Pelicans

The Hornets should avoid a selfish player like Brandon Ingram. CJ is the best choice to provide maturity to the boys in the locker room. But if excitement is to be considered so that the team will consistently get a national as well as worldwide attention even if it wouldn't be a championship caliber team, the choice for the trade should be Zion. Just imagine Zion and Lamelo playing together. The world cannot ignore that. Fancy passes and thunder dunks will always be in the top 10 plays of the day. Zion will not be overworked because Lamelo will give him the ball in a better and less difficult position.

From a trade standpoint I don’t think I could ever say no to BI, a young piece (Daniels, Murphy or Herb) and 14 this year plus a future first (likely LAL).
Denver had the easiest path to a championship that i have seen. Good for them that they took advantage of the seeding upsets. Without looking it up i believe they played an 8th seed, the 5th seed and the 6th seed in the west then an 8th seed in the east.

Boys, elite passing skill is the key to Denver's ascent. The Hornets have that in Lamelo already. They now have a good young center and if you add Zion and Miles plus some high percentage 3 point shooters in the rotation to the team, Hornets could become a championship team in a couple of years especially because they have a coach who values defense and would train these kids to be two-way players.

Can’t wait to watch the podcast on lunch. But I think we need to look at Denver as an example. They followed the GS formula, building their young core then adding pieces. Think Hornets need to keep the pick stay patient and let our guys gel and learn together and it will eventually payoff.

Here is where I would pull the trigger: Brandon Ingram (don't want Zion, plus we got Miles and PJ), Trey Murphy, future first round from Lakers (2024 or 2025 pick swap) and we send back Gordon Hayward and James Bouknight, #2 and one of the 2nd round picks. We would start Mark, Miles, BI, Terry and Lamelo. Nick, PJ, Trey, Cody and DSJ off the bench. McGowens, JT Thor, Kai Jones, 3 more picks this year to fill out the squad and that Lakers pick will probably be gold when Lebron and AD move on.
Or, you know, just take Scoot. That boy is going to be something special. The only thing that will annoy me is taking Brandon Miller at #2 (if we move down to #4 I think he will be available and Rockets would bust their nut trying to get Scoot. 2024 pick from Brooklyn, 20th pick this year and either 1 more future first or Tari Eason)
