Ya know what they say nothing worth having in life comes easy 🤷‍♂️

“It was challenging to coach” -doc rivers

  3. Doc wanted Harden to be a playmaker while Harden wanted to be a scorer.

Thing about doc, he put harden in a mental block of him knowing how he’s really good. But the coach wants him to go away from his elite trait to become a playmaker first. When you want to score but you keep getting told that’s not the way to win, you start second guessing yourself. You can’t do that. The thing that makes harden an elite player is you play through him and allow him to create from his attacking, not him doing the Ben Simmons dribble the ball up and automatically pass to the post.

Maybe because Glenn is a moron who doesn’t run plays

  6. Fratervsoe

Only the fucktard Glenn Rivers would have the audacity to say the guy who led the league in assists didn’t give the ball up enough. Good Riddance Glenn!

I cannot wait until this loser is gone. I’m so tired of James Harden. I’m so tired of the Sixers constantly signing career losers.

  8. It was challenging for doc to coach period, go suck somewhere else

  9. BrokenManOfSamarkand

Doc been unloading the clip lol

  10. KuraxKira

Doc has complained about almost every single player he’s ever coached.

  11. WraithTwelve

Funny how the offense looked best when James first got here and was just doing whatever. Once he started being “coached” by Glenn it went downhill.

  12. Johnnygunnz

He has a lot of challenges coaching PGs in Philly.

He had one of the 50 best players in NBA history at PG with Harden. It really shouldn’t have been THAT challenging, Doc. Now, if he came out and said coaching, Ben was hard… ok, but James should have been easy. Just still doesn’t understand PnR or how to set one up, so working with James surely blew his mind.

  13. It was challenging to listen every time I heard doc speak so to each his own

  14. Harden and Rivers are both known playoff chokers.

  15. BabaBrody

People hate Doc mostly justifiably but he’s just saying what most people had already complained about Harden’s game – no off-ball engagement, his burst is declining, and he’s set in his very specific way of playing.

Harden’s universally praised as being a really smart player, but he also seems very resistant to changing his own offensive game that everyone in the league has had scouted for the past 5 years. When Harden has met resistance and good coverage, he has shut down instead of adapting into things like mid-range shots and shooting 3s off the catch from more varied spots.

He really went on the bill simmons podcast to bitch about his former sixers players, wow

  17. 3YearLettermanStan

Idk, listening to the interview I think he was pretty fair in his criticism. He said Jo needs to elevate his teammates more but also said he has been hurt by the end of every year. He said James is a great player who just dribbles the ball too much and it’s easier to defend with so little movement. Said he wished he could’ve coached younger Harden when he would’ve had more energy to do some movement stuff. Bill was annoying and I disagree with some of what Doc said but he’s not off base. You could argue he could’ve done more to influence how they played but his criticisms about James as a player were on point and the same stuff we all have been saying

  18. Meepsnort

People are on doc’s ass about this interview, but all the things he is saying about harden and embiid are 100% correct. regardless of his own problems, of which there are many.

  19. icewill36

the thing is, none of that matters if you’re going to play PJ tucker heavy minutes and the opposing team is not going to guard him, and use his man as a rover to muck up any action you are trying to run. the problem with the offense start there, not with james and joel.

  20. rogue1351

Doc always finds new ways to make himself even more unlikable. Really need some of these boomers to age out asap.

“It was challenging, he doesn’t get 50+ points and 25 assists every game”

  22. Historical_Spirit445

Of course the Sixers reddit is the one place on the whole site to stay open. Poverty franchise and fans

  23. SendNubes__

“Ball-handling, handles the ball, dribbles the ball, attacks” – James Hardens skillset

    LMFAO that’s impossibly accurate.

  24. DurpLazer

It was challenging to breathe -Cock Rivers
