Man I wish the nba sub was open, I have so many receipts

  2. But I was told this would be the most boring Finals in history that wouldn’t be watched or cared for??

  3. CriticalTinkerer

What are the numbers for just the Finals?

  4. porkadachop

Turns out people like basketball, and not necessarily the same teams every year.

  5. Mister100Percent

Ah hell yeah. Vindication for Nuggets fans. Got real fucking sick of folks saying that this Finals was gonna be garbage without the Lakers, Celtics, Warriors (not cool bros), etc. Some of the dumbest fucking takes ever. I swear they don’t like basketball like r/nba mods.

  6. Shenanigans80h

Turns out the NBA is bigger than just a few teams like others lead you to believe.

  7. mmmmmkay

Now if only we could just watch their fucking games during the regular season

r/denvernuggets. Most available and visited Reddit Sub 2023. Hang the banner! Well deserved.

Best playoffs I’ve ever watched. I watched almost every game this year (that wasn’t broadcast simultaneously with another one) and the payoff with the Nuggets winning it all was so incredibly awesome.

Nikola transcends the game not just because of his immense skill, but his endless humbleness. He is a breathe of fresh air in a sport dominated by divas and egos. People want to root for guys like the Nuggets, it just doesn’t happen that a team like them comes along very often.

Playoff viewership was indeed up, but finals viewership was the second-lowest since 2007 (2020 lowest) and 5th lowest since it started being tracked in the 80s. Smaller market teams and a shorter series has something to do with it, but last year’s finals viewership wasn’t much better (+6%) either.

  12. So another narrative proven wrong, wow so shocked

Lakers/Celtics fans calling the finals boring in shambles

I like that this means there’s real basketball fans out there. The “I’m not watch this it’s the most boring finals ever” narrative was doing my head in.

  15. Nice so much about Nuggets -Heat being boring

The further away we move from LeBron, the better off the league is. I can’t wait until he retires.

Amazing playoffs both from a neutral’s perspective and a Nuggs fan’s perspective. Oh, and from a Lakers hater’s perspective too.

The Nuggets-Suns series was some of the best basketball I’ve ever watched. Devin Booker went nuclear that series and Jokic still managed to will a victory for his team. There were other great series, but depending on how the offseason goes those two could likely meet again in the playoffs and I can’t wait.

Fuck the announcers and the narrative. Lakers vs Celts my ass. The people who actually love basketball loved this series. And hooray for two underdog teams. People love that shit
