For me, team sports at the Olympics are just side shows & they have their own real designated events. Olympics is for track & field, combat sports & aquatic racing. But maybe it's just an opinion held by me & a few.
The gap between the United States and the rest of the world is shrinking. The USA main advantage now is the depth of the talent. The can go 10-12 deep while the countries like France, Canada, Australia, and Serbia can go 5-8 deep. Population is a huge factor but time will tell if they can make up the difference.
