Tobias Harris you are a wizard

This dude has a no trade clause on a super max 😂 Wtf were they thinking

  2. Zashiony

Not a huge fan of that contract, to be honest. But a Beal for Tobi trade? I’m not opposed.

  3. XxStormySoraxX

Please no. Bradley Beal is not clutch, can’t defend and I really don’t want to see a back court of him and Maxey.

  4. ovocartierr

Beal and Kuzma for Maxey and Tobias🔥🔥

  5. OverlyAloofGargoyle

Per Neubeck, the Sixers will not be pursuing Beal and are not interested. Take it for what it’s worth.

Getting him for scraps would be fine in a scenario where harden walks, but you’d have to deal maxey for a wing. He is a much better lead creator than maxey, and is friends with Joel.

I love maxey, but with him coming up for a big extension it will be tricky navigating the future. I think he’s a third guy ultimately

  7. spencepoppy

Assuming Washington is blowing it up, give me Kuzma and another role player for Tobi. I don’t want Beal.

the more i look at Beal, the more i see a 30 year guard who had played 57-60-40-50 games the past 4 years.

3 point shooting isn’t what you would think volume or % wise.

Would mean Maxey is gone, unless he takes under market b/c Embiid and Beal would be >100 million a year soon

people have been crying to get out of the tobias contract, now they want to sign up for 4 years of beal’s nightmare deal. no thank you

  10. bossman757

I understand, and somewhat agree, that Beal might not be the best fit – both contract and lineup-wise.

But I *don’t* understand how there seriously people here saying Tobias Harris is the better player.

There really isn’t a comparison – Player A is a certified bucket-getter who opposing teams need to plan for, but is a defensive liability. Player B is guy who is steady enough on defense, but can’t finish at the rim, only shows up on offense every 12-ish games and drops off a cliff in the playoffs every year.

I love Tobias the person, but nothing on the basketball court screams “Give me this guy over Bradley Beal”.

  11. Excluding the contract Beal is underrated as a player now, but can’t see us getting him anyway

  12. WhereDaHinkieFlair

Nobody wanted that contract under the old cap, and under the new cap they’re basically gonna have to give assets to get off it.

  13. racer24ftw

I would say yes but Beal has a horrible contact

  14. Prestigious-Rock201

So if harden leaves what do you do? I have asked this multiple times and got no answer

  15. bcatch25

Miami bound for something like Lowry, Robinson, jovic and picks

  16. cantwifeahoe

This is just part of the wizards yearly cycle

    – Underachieve in the regular season
    – Get bounced in the first round of the playoffs (optional)
    – Draft a low upside prospect in the draft
    – Consider blowing it up (we are here)
    – Hand out a bad contract
    – Star player(s) get hurt

It’s really the off brand version of the hell we call Sixers fandom

  17. TIandCAS

I’m so fucking done if we get Beal. An inefficient more expensive downgrade at SG Is not what we need

  18. Willigers27

wouldn’t want him here and the Sixers wouldn’t have the assets to get him anyway. I realize his contract is a disaster, but teams will still be willing to overpay for the “idea” of what a player like Beal will do for them.

I think he ends up with the Knicks for Barrett, cash filler and a couple picks. I see people mentioning Miami, but i don’t think Pat Riley is dumb enough to trade for him, plus idk what a deal would look like for Beal to Miami

  19. edwardsscreenname

Flip Tobias for Ben Simmons. I really don’t care. Knowing that Tobias really can’t change, I’m all in on that tiniest glimmer of defused light seeping in through a maze of collapsing rock trapped 300 feet underground in a coal mine known as Simmons’s potential.

  20. nickenglish94

No thanks on Beal unless we know for sure harden is leaving and Morey also knows for sure he can get a solid wing with whatever remaining assets we have.

That said, this feels like the perfect scenario for a 3 team trade to get off Tobias for some role players where Harris goes to the Wizards, Beal goes somewhere, we get the salary filler players and maybe a 2nd round pick in the process

  21. JoeRo628

Beal’s 4 year 200 million dollar plus deal with a no trade clause is such an albatross that Washington should be giving up significant additional assets to move off of it for Tobi’s expiring deal. Given the punishments the league is about to hand out to repeat luxury tax offenders It’s absolutely ludicrous to suggest the Sixers include players or draft picks to get Beal

  22. bigchallah

Yes his contract is trash. Yes it would be nice to get off Tobi. Yes if Harden walks, we need to figure out our guard situation. All of these are facts. **Here’s why I (regrettably) think this deal has a good chance of happening if Harden walks.**

If he walks, what’s Darryl’s plan? Who is he pairing with Embiid? You really think after all the work Darryl put in with both Houston and then Brooklyn to get James, that when he walks he’s just gonna say ok we have to take a year of Embiid’s prime off to figure stuff out and wait on some cap room? Or try to sell us Shake? I don’t. I don’t think he is in the game to take years off and I don’t think Joel is either. From a “talent on the floor” standpoint, Beal is the best best player that’s obviously on the market that we could get. Sure we’ve circlejerked about DeRozan, but what’s out there to indicate he is on the market? If it doesn’t work, it’ll be some other executive’s problem to fix just like Darryl had to fix 25 and Horford. Plus Embiid likes Beal.

  23. Serpico2

I really wouldn’t use the word star for Beal anymore, he’s barely played in the last few years.

  24. redditckulous

Under the new luxury tax rules, making Embiid-Maxey-Beal work would be really hard, let alone Embiid-Maxey-Beal-Harden

  25. girlfriend_pregnant

why are we always in the game of “win now” guys who arent actually “win now”. can we just get some athletic and/or smart good players who are raw and get them to play specific roles?… ya know, like a good team would do
