most sports medicine folks think injuries are so much more frequent now because of the increased need for quick agile changes in direction. Moving a huge athletes body that quickly and dexterously puts a huge load on the body.
Compound that with training to play in this game in that style for longer and longer and from an earlier age than folks in West’s time, it’s no wonder we have all these injuries.
