I don’t believe the rumor. If true, I think it’s too soon to give him away unless it’s in a deal including other assets to get someone like Scoot, Zion, or some other legit great player. Cole plays with fire most of the time, and he’s young.

But it makes sense, he at best will be a 6 th man, but he repeatedly stated he sees himself as a starter in the league.
That means he is gonna want to be paid as a starter, and we won’t be giving him a bag, so might as well get whatever future draft capital we can for him, as we can replace him with a pick this year

With the way this draft is shaping up and the guys we’re likely to pick, I wouldn’t be shocked if it were true. I love Cole and want to see him succeed in an Orlando uniform, but it may be for the best if it were to happen. If we draft any of Ausar/Whitmore/Dick/Black at 6 then any of Dick/Hawkins/George/Cason/any other shooter at 11 we’re going to have way too many guards on our team.
That said, still taking it with a grain of salt. Our FO just doesn’t leak anything.
