Bring in a bonafide 20 PPG floor spacing PF to replace Collins, who I think is a pretty good fit with Okongwu who steps up to be the starting C on the team. Porzingis size also lets us play with lineups that go five out against smaller teams like Boston and Miami, where we can run full shooting lineups like Trae/Bogi/Hunter/Bey/Porzingis
Brings in McGee from Dallas to backup Onyeka, though you can work a lot of KP minutes in at the 5. McGee would mostly be for when we need a big body.
And then we would bring Avdija over in the trade, former top ten capital, defensive minded wing who can serve as a role player when we want someone to just pass the rock and play hard defense. Still very young as well, maybe he grows as a player further?

Sounds good on paper, not sure all the contract/cap ramifications but dumping Collins off the books is a win imo and Porzingis is very solid + a floor space we need. Also dont hate getting deni and McGee as bench role players

ngl every time i see a 3 team trade my head immediately starts ringing even before i read the details

Porzingis is washed and rarely plays full seasons. Pass.

Wizards would only do this if they go full rebuild mode

If we’re going to keep Dejounte, we need a real high volume shooter at 3, 4 or 5. Someone who shoots ~40% on 6-7 3PA per game (like Bogi or Heurter). That’s really not what Porzingis is. I don’t think it’s a bad idea in general, but if we’re going to insist on playing Dejounte at the 2, building the team around that is really not easy.

What about a 3 way trade centering around the Hawks getting Christian Wood (sign and trade), the Mavs getting Ayton and the Suns get Capela. The contracts work but I’m sure some picks or role players would have to be thrown in.

why do y’all want Porzingis so much?

I would do the Wizarda I don’t think

First off. DjM is a terrible fit for this team. Great player but trae needs 4 catch and shoot players who can play good defense to win in this league.
Second. Postings is just going to spend half his contract injured. So no thanks.

Interesting, but I don’t think it will work. We send out five spots and recoup three. To finish out the roster we have to offer very cheap contracts to six people( even possible to stay under luxury. Or go into the luxury….but if we are going into the luxury, there is probably a better strategy then losing alot of defense to get kris porz

Deni would be a sneaky great add but having 3 guys who need rookie extension deals this upcoming summer (Okongwu, Saddiq & Deni) gets dicey. All for shedding the Clint & JC salaries, plus we don’t really have mins for pick #15 anyways. Getting Collins #15 & #20 for Porzingis & Deni feels like a good get for Washington, but I think they’re pretty high on Avdija for good reason. Think Deni would be great in Quins system with 2 real PGs (Trae/DJM) instead of Monte Morris & street clothes Brad Beal

I would be into that if not for his injury history.
