Based on what givony says it seems like this is coming from bufkin’s agent, not team sources.

My sleeper pick gaining buzz
Lowe was talking about this on his show today (lots of good Wizards trade talk there too, probably the longest they’ve ever talked about us) and they speculated that he had a promise from an organization because no one can get a workout with him. I don’t think it’s us, since we haven’t been reported to work him out. Interesting prospect though.
Maybe. Bufkin and Hood-Schifino could be sleepers at 8 if we keep the pick. Sometimes it’s not all about “value” and just getting the right guy.
Nah I reckon it’s the Jazz at 9, OKC at 12 or Toronto at 13.
I reckon if Black is there at 8 he’s absolutely the Wizards pick.

Bufkin is the best college PG in this entire draft.
His game is smooth. He is actually taller than I expected. I saw a picture of him standing next to SGA and they are about the same height. SGA is listed at 6’6. I would not be disappointed if the Wizards drafted Bufkin or Hendricks.
