Promising that the FO isn’t viewing cp3 as a dlo replacement

We’ll see ADs best offensive season ever if he has lebron, cp3, dlo and reaves setting him up every night

  2. TorontoRaptors34

Fuck no, to me I wouldn’t want DLO back unless he comes otb and on a team friendly deal. CP is cool and I been a fan his whole career but personally I would rather have Reaves play pg maybe CP otb as a pg I’d consider. But if u relying on DLO a historic playoff shrinker and CP a guy who gets hurt in the playoffs its not good especially when your going against guys like Steph, Murray, Kyrie, Dame, etc.

  3. EATMYBASS3

Yes. Gives the Lakers a lot of options when it comes to line ups configurations.

CP3 is not a good defender anymore but his mid range game is still money and he’s one of the best passers in the game still even at 38.

CP3 will unlock a dimension of AD’s game that only Rondo and LeBron have been able to unlock.

D’Lo is a perfect regular season player. He’s exactly the kind of player you want for an 82 game season so retaining him is a no brainer. In the playoffs he tends to play worse but he’s still a young player and this past post season was the most he’s played after April in his entire career so I’m not going to judge him based off of that. I’m confident that with a full training camp and a full season to grow together, he will better prepared next post season.

Yes, and we can consider trading DLO during the season. He will contribute towards regular season wins and eat up plenty of minutes. I dont see us getting a Brook Lopez, Turner this offseason and we have a ton of wings

  5. Theoneandonlylog

Ofc. LeBron would get so much rest not having to carry the offense anymore

  6. Final-Actuary4474

We could also use D’Lo as trade bait to get Beal.

  7. Rentfreelakerfan

I’d love to know how many other moves y’all think the Lakers can make.

  8. Spaghettibeach

I like this, I really like D’Lo and love the energy he brought to the team. Even the fans were doing the ice in my veins when anybody hits the 3, it would be a blow to morale to trade him as opposed to picking up another competent 1/2. CP3’s shooting really impressed me towards the end of their run, really a shame about his injuriy

  9. TheMuffingtonPost

It super depends. Dlo is good despite what people in this sub will tell you, his contract is just too high.

If you can get CP on a lower contract and have him as a backup pg then it would be great. Anything else is not worth it.

  10. invadrzero

Some say D’Lo still out there practicing his 3s

  11. I love it. It’s literally a perfect pairing.

Sorry laker fans you’re not getting a lockdown defender/30 point per game elite playmaker at the pg position without gutting our team… just not gonna happen.

  12. In that defense basically won the majority of our play-off games…I don’t think you guys are accounting for just how big a liability CP3 is on defense. Like…who do you think you’re gonna put him on? Do you want 5 on 4 while he plays?

Reaves/Bron/DLo should all be a little better next year with Dennis adding serviceable minutes as well. We should already feel ok in distribution.

I would personally rather focus on adding another big to take some load off AD. Keep Bron and AD to 30 minutes a night during the regular season – we’ll win enough games to have a decent spot in the playoffs as is.

  13. ttttyttt678

CP3, AR, Lebron, Vando, AD. Bench:Dlo, Beasley, Rui, Monk, Bamba, 18th pick. The flexibility this roster would have in game and for Rob to make in season trades to improve the team would be insane.

  14. CaptSmallette

As long as we retain Reeves and Dennis, Im good with that.

  15. nova2006

On paper it’s good but both so injuries prone same with Kyrie not reliable

  16. PatientIndividual651

I think it’s a solid move. Builds depth at PG. DLo obviously had shortcomings in the playoffs but I think he’s needed for the 82 game regular season. And now you’d have 4 guys on the roster that can be the playmaker with CP3, DLO, Reaves and Bron.

  17. smnlfilmagoofymovie

Also just think about the knowledge he can give players like austin/max etc……

  18. Likeatruckberzerker

Idk, doesnt seem that bad. If paul comes cheap.

  19. Drew-Money

If it helps keep CP healthy for a deep playoff run that’s all good

  20. Worried-Emu-9614

If we can get him for loose change then 100%

  21. If we can get him on a minimum it’s an OK deal. Overall i still think we should be trying to get better defenders but it’s never bad to have more playmaking

  22. StoneColdAM

LeGM is going to build the team to beat Denver next year. We mainly lost due to being outsized.

  23. theseustheminotaur

Yes. Our PG rotation would be pretty awesome with those two. DLo could learn a lot from CP3 too

  24. Hopeful-Percentage76

All i hear is more 3guard lineups

  25. Ortega-y-gasset

I’m just gonna go ahead and say it: I don’t trust Ham with this many guards. Idc how good they are. We’re gonna see 5 guard lineups n shit

  26. willymonsta

could we maybe get a quality center before getting ANOTHER guard

  27. Dlo would not be okay with a bench role 100%, he was ass in the Denver series but was mad asf coming off the bench in game 4 when it was clearly the right move

  28. JohnsonTheDude

So two guards that cant play D or score great plan

  29. I would be ok with that move. It assumes the Lakers don’t overpay for Dlo of course.

  30. tsam7879

Yes it would be good. Just have to limit his minutes.

  31. relivesa

Sure. As long as they don’t forget about the front court.

Let AD play the 4 again for fucks sake.
