Personally, I'd rather have a wing defender like OG to replace Harrison Barnes, if Beal didn't have that contract I'd pursue him
I think getting a player like Beal would be exactly what the Kings need. A humble superstar that can fit seamlessly, still in his prime with a solid 5-6 years left. Send them Huerter, Holmes, Barnes (sign and trade), 2023 1st, future 1st and I say the Kings significantly improve. That’s the swing you take in my opinion—not sending hypothetical Davion, Holmes and a 1st for OG. I just don’t think the upside OG brings on defense compensates for what you’d lose to get him (continuity, best defender &/or young star, maybe they ask for Keegan, yikes!! etc.) I say the Kings need to go for the sure thing, the proven superstar that you know will make the team better day 1. AND… keeping the young core and real assets together (Keegan, Davion, Lyles, TD, etc.) I’m team Beal!

Lol Beal is not going to SAC. He said he wants to play for a contending team. Kings ain’t better than Lakers, nuggets , Suns and even struggle against the Warriors. He’s most likely going to Miami. His wife loves Miami , Heat have been trying to get him since 2019, and he playing on a championship contending team
Not worth it – there are many examples of trades for big contracts basically relegating teams to prolonged mediocrity.
The Kings should focus on getting Jerami Grant, Naz Reid, Josh Hart or Austin Reaves if the Lakers can't retain him. These would be the best fits from the FA pool.
