I think Chris Paul is washed and not worth a trade.
Lakers need a BIG. Plain and simple. After re-signing both Austin and Rui, go get BIG. I’m not really enamoured with Kyrie, Chris, keep who we got , meaning both D Lo & Dennis. Try and get Myles Turner! Trade Bamba & Beasley
Paying D-Lo $30 million per year would be insane when no one else wants him or will pay him nearly that much! If no one else will pay him more then $20 million per year (he just had arguably the worst starting PG Conference finals in playoff history! 6, 4, 2 on low 30s FG% & 13% from 3 with horrid defense) then why in God’s name would Lakers need to offer him $30 Mill per year?!?!
2 years 30-40 million take it or leave it! He has ZERO leverage after that horrific WCF and overall in postseason he’s been bad. + never been a great locker room guy. $30 mill when he’s a $15-20 million player regardless of how short it is if NO ONE is in the NBA is willing to break 20 mill per year!
PS Shroder in 2 playoffs with lakers overall has plummeted from his regular season play too statistically. It’s so frustrating they gave away KCP Caruso and also didn’t trade for Lowry 20-21 like LeBron wanted at 2021 deadline (just like he wanted Ty Lue, DeRozan before Westbrook, Caruso back…I promise you he doesn’t make the FINAL decision or else all of those things happen) or else they’d have been in such better shape last 2 seasons and moving forward!
Also I know Trevor and some others say “teams may not offer that poison pill offer to Reaves bc they know Lakers match no matter what”, but I would argue teams would want to stick it to lakers so why not just offer Reaves 4 years $80-$100 mill or whatever the max is to make it more money then lakers ideally want to pay him?
PSS LeBron said “he has some things to think about” which is not strange at all considering he’s 1/10 players EVER to play yr20 as well as 500mins away from most mins ever (barley behind Kareem) and has been dealing with a lot of injuries. This notion LeBron did it for attention is hilarious. He’s the 2nd player ever to play in yr20 playoffs (Kareem averaged 11&4 then retired that’s the only other guy). I guess maybe ppl think it’s fake bc he was still a top5-15 range player still so I get that, but again only Kareem has ever played more mins (barely) and only Parish/Kareem have played more games (including playoffs for both).

I’d like to see Dlo back but not at 2yrs x $30/M. 3yrs x $18M with 3rd yr a team option might work. I doubt there is much of a market for him. He has not played well in the playoffs for Bkn, Min, or LAL. He was sat in the 4th quarter in his Bkn all star year … and we know how this year ended for him this year. Let him walk if he wants >$20M/yr.

Almost every time i see CP in the playoffs, injuries soon follow. Used to be a great player but he's past it.
I'd rather have CP3 as a starter and dennis as the back up point guard then flip dlo for a bigger wing that can defend and make threes..

CP3 will have a lot of nba teams calling. If lakers want him they will need to offer mid level tag about $15mill.

Between D'Lo and Dennis Schroder…I would retain Dennis Schroder. To be honest, Schroder outplayed D'Lo. He's quicker, faster, and a pest on defense.

I'm thinking maybe LeBron hasn't said anything because he wants to reassess and analyze things after he has surgery on his foot. Then perhaps if rehab/PT goes well he will then say yep I'm back! Best content . Austin said he is a pointguard several times . and he is closeing the game in that spot so .. Schröder is the perfect back up . both has clutch , point in the line , defense , . loonie is a nice player so lakers can draft a 2 guard perimeter defense guy in the first round , and go for a strech PF in the second . i only trade beasly and the first pick for a better pick but definitely try to sign friendly contracts with dlo rui, austin, schröder, bamba, loonie and Gabriel .
