Jamal Murray: “I see the picture of Jok and Embiid chasing the MVP and Jok runs past it. That really embodies who he is as a person”

This is because Embiid won the MVP, a regular season award, but was eliminated early in the playoffs while Jokic won the Championship.

Was the one that Jokic is chasing the goat?

Its not accurate. Embiid would fall down 100 times chasing the MVP trophy. Joker would have to atop, wait for Embiid to get back up and start running again

The closest I get to believing an NBA conspiracy theory is that Jokic intentionally tanked the MVP.

Has Embiid been the most clowned MVP after the playoffs since Westbrick in 2017?

I read that as Jokic saying this, somehow and I was like “Damn, this is the most disrespect I’ve ever heard out of him” lol

    Damn thats honestly pretty amazing

Was Embiid’s resume this past season so bad that no argument can be made for him to win the REGULAR season award over Jokic? Also, cares about MVP especially if Jokic doesn’t I don’t see why anyone should care more.

The NBA is still an entertainment business at the end of the day.

They thrive on hot takes and controversial discussions. The closer the debate, the better it is for their brand.

Kobe vs. LeBron was great and would’ve been amazing in 09 had they met in the Finals.

Dirk vs. KG vs. Duncan, Russell vs. Durant, Steph vs. LeBron, Jokic vs. Giannis vs. Embiid.

They love pinning one player against another instead of enjoying the talent within the moment.

It’s not until they retire that we look back and realize that they’re all great players that we’ve overlooked because we were too busy comparing the little things that have nothing to do with what they are showcasing on the floor.

Does it matter who deserves the MVP? You all have your own bias and criteria but it doesn’t change anything when they’re in a playoff setting.

These guys just want to win. And that’s all that should matter.

Has Murray seen the latest one of him with Jokic chasing the Finals MVP and Jokic running past it to his beloved horses?

Why win one MVP trophy in regular season when two in post season better?

In the 15 years I’ve been following the NBA, I’ve never seen a team believe in each other this much. The 2014 Spurs and 2011 Mavs also come to mind. Those 2010s Warriors teams as well.

As a Sixers fan I fully support closing the sub for another year or so
