Henderson is a 6'2" midget guard with abysmal shooting (32% from 3 lol). Like seriously tho, wasn't Charlotte dead last in 3pt % this season? Isn't their roster loaded with guards? This draft is a no brainer wether you have the 1st or 2nd pick: Miller. Zion is a Jordan brand athlete still at the age of 23 and it’s from North Carolina as well or is it South Carolina? That’s gonna be hard for me to Mitch Kupchak who is the president in GM of basketball operations determined on who you want to guys that have issues out like Miles Bridges and Zion on who’s all in the social media issues. IMO I think the most prudent think for Charlotte to do is just draft scoot and see what’s out there for lámelo.
If someone blows you away with an offer then reset with scoot because lámelo although skilled and proven he’s very injury prone just like his brother.
There are certain guys I would not anchor myself too because of this. Zions one. And lámelo is the other. And I’m sure as hell not paying lámelo Max money like pelicans did for a guy whose hurt more than he plays.
If the Pelicans traded Zion before his max they would have an wild pool of assets right now without the max deal in tow. Plus they would have the lakers picks.
The hornets should heed the same warning and trade lámelo while he still has very high trade value.
