I mean the Heat had a worse ORTG than us last year and Durant and Booker are 2 of the best offensive players in the league. I don’t really blame him lol

  2. dantheman6783

It’s over now he can’t hurt us anymore

  3. TopOfTheKey

Meanwhile in the exact same passage in the screenshot “The Wizards couldn’t stay in a holding pattern; unwilling to wait on the Heat…” And in the paragraph afterwards, there was the bad contracts attached to other offers.

I don’t know if this is DA’s or the Wizards wanting to make Beal look like the bad guy but literally every points to this being the Heat wanting Lillard over Beal and the Wizards not wanting to lose a deal as a result of it.

  4. jbenson255

Same guy you all swore by too. Got bud max money and held the team hostage

  5. SpiderHamSandwich

Sorry but I can’t blame Beal at all. FO had no business adding a NTC to his deal.

  6. immrdadguy

Well that’s yesterdays problem he not our problem anymore

  7. Frognaros

    buried in the text

    “his wife”

good fucking riddance to that lizard.

  8. fireislandcheese

I love how you all act like you would do anything different if you were Beal.

  9. seanshammgod

beal created the best outcome for himself and his family, given the situation tommy and ted created. this was always going to happen once they gave him the NTC

don’t blame the player, blame the game.

  10. ibeauch009

i still don’t see why the wizards don’t play hardball and try what the sixers did with Harden

  11. GregEgg4President

Which is it? Did he force them to take the Phoenix deal or did they refuse to wait for the Miami deal? Can’t have it both ways

  12. GreekReigns

It’s crazy that we allowed him to choose and he chose what he wanted because it made sense for him and his family.

Celtics fan here. Happy for Wizard fans to finally be free from Beal (rather than Free Beal). Been waiting for the day he set your franchise free.

But man….I gotta admit from afar he screwed the franchise as selfishly as possible along every step of the way masqueraded in “loyalty” before his final act of forcing an asset-less trade for y’all. Not even a 1st rounder or decent young player to sell the trade on.

I know y’all are still fond of John Wall but will there be the same love for Beal when he returns? It looked torturous from the outside in (& lurking here all last season I wasn’t far off).

Good luck with the new regime & finally doing a proper rebuild!

  14. KD/Booker is just a “smidge more offensively potent” than Bam/Jimmy?? lol

  15. Hogo-Nano

The FRP swaps, if unprotected will likely be lottery picks. Beal 3-4 years down the line could fall off like Kemba and Durant is going to be a million years old

  16. BigToePete

I mean, I don’t blame Beal for this. Our dumbfuck previous organization signed the deal. The Suns imo give Beal a way better chance at a championship in the next few years so why wouldn’t he insist on going there? Expecting him to make a sacrifice to benefit us is crazy.

  17. FlashMan1981

Winger and Dawkins dealt with the cards handed to them. Giving Bradley Beal, of all people, a no-trade clause has to be one of the all-time dumb moves any GM every did. I’m just glad Winger et al ripped the band aid off and just got this over with.

  18. scoop444

Don’t forget he helped push John Wall out the door. I never understood the love this sub had for him.

  19. Sebeeschin

So you guys booing this man when he comes back to town?

  20. Fast_Stick_1593

Where’s all the Beal defenders now?

Also, screw Shepperd and Leonsis for handicapping the franchise with ineptitude.

  21. I’m pretty sure your past GM forced the Wizards to take the worst deal by giving Beal an unprecedented no trade clause. You can blame Beal but if you were in shoes would you prioritize yourself/your new team or the team that’s trading you away?

  22. addictivesign

Self inflicted by giving Beal the max and the idiotic trade clause.

You think Brad’s gonna turn down the max contract without the trade clause being included?

  23. whobjohn

It’s going to be so fun cheering against Phoenix. Fuck these cacti. I hope their championship drought remains as dry as their dusty ass city.

  24. SharpGroup9319

Remember how Ben Simmons got traded for James Harden, it just took the 76rs time. We should of waited…

  25. TheLoneliestMonke

Damn I thought you guys made a -3000 IQ deal but you were actually just fucked by Beal. Kind of an ass move by Beal imo since the Wiz gave him that deal.

  26. Live_Philosophy7117

Idk how Beal can be blamed when he wasn’t the one that gave a NTC. This stuff is the exact reason why they exist from a player’s perspective

  27. BCO22591

It’s fireable we didn’t get to keep Isiah Todd. Just another show of incompetence

  28. ColdBeing

Shit like this just makes you appreciate John Wall. Dude put his pride and joy into this city and would’ve never bent us backward the way Beal did but in the end we bent Wall over backwards for this snake. Beal is The “Fake” Deal

  29. Fucked the team over big time. But he should’ve never had that NTC.

  30. Fuzzy-Package7738

Because he wanted what was best for him. Those things didn’t align and we had already given him the upper hand. Beal didn’t have any desire to fuck us, he just didn’t mind if we did get fucked.

  31. NBAisGarbage

“Kd and booker are a smidge more potent offensively than jimmy and bam” 😂😂🤣💀😭
