[Hughes] Bradley Beal leaves the Wizards only 160 points short of the franchise career scoring record, held by Elvin Hayes (15,551 pts). Hayes has held the record for 42 years.

    oof

Btw, Elvin Hayes played over 80 games for 16 straight years of his career. Bradley Beal did… not

Good, fuck Beal – he doesn’t deserve the record for taking the bag and running. Never won shit and dicked us over with that NTC and getting scraps back in the trade.

The silver lining of this dogshit trade is at least Beal won’t get the record. Seeing that clown taking it from a true Bullets legend in Hayes would have been sad to see.

On the other hand, since our new mantra is “take on shitty contracts for assets”, there’s every possibility that in two years’ time, he’ll be a top candidate for us to reacquire if the Suns get any assets in that time.

The best thing about this trade is that it preserves this aspect of Elvin Hayes’ legacy.

Too bad about everything else, but at least that’s a nice thing.

If we didn’t have that one championship we really would be the worst franchise in NBA history
