Does anyone know if Klay Thompson, who is extension eligible this year, could negotiate his contract with the Warriors so instead of making 40 next year and then free agency, it goes 100 over the next 3 making it 33 million next year. It lowers the Warriors salaries by 10 million and lets them work out the other player's salaries. But is that allowed by the league??

My thing is when players say they want out. There's this big coverage as if its some type of betrayal or there doing something wrong. But if teams just decide to trade their players and not honor the contract. No one cares huh? Because your getting paid millions. You get paid for your play on the court.
