[Givony] GSW are said to be looking at a different strategy on draft night, after previously picking young, developmental-type prospects which have been difficult to fully integrate into their style of play. Rival teams have pointed to the likes of Brandin Podziemski, Jaime Jaquez Jr. & Kris Murray

I think if MDJ is making the pick the emphasis will be a playmaker. Not necessarily someone older.

This feels like a generalization not based on real intel.

If we take BPod at 19 instead of trading down to take him, just no.

we need a center with a high IQ. no more PGs

Given the roster, I don’t think any player other than a big would even play. Is BP even playing above Rollins?

If they are picking older players, I’d rather them trade back and get something like Colby Jones and TJD.

All 3 names mentioned are not worth anything near 19

  7. I’m tired of this, Jacob Evans and Pat McCaw were both 21 when they played their first game. Who cares?

People need to shut the hell up about JuSt PiCk SoMeOnE oLdEr… as if it’s that simple. Or as if Kuminga is trash.

Heck yeah! Another young player that won’t play or contribute!

Been saying that if they don’t trade down, Podziemski could be the pick.

If they draft him though, he needs to get a new hairstyle because it gives off heavy Nico Mannion vibes.

I don’t see this is a “change of strategy” as much as it is simply being in a position in the draft where drafting experienced, lower-ceiling players makes more sense.
