Pelicans ‘dismayed’ by Zion’s off-court developments, Dame leaving Blazers? | FIRST THINGS FIRST

The NBA offseason continues with some big developments, including Zion Williamson’s future with the New Orleans Pelicans. According to a report, Pelicans front office members have been ‘dismayed’ with his off-court developments. With the NBA Draft approaching, the trade talks continue to heat up. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss whether the Pelicans should stay patient with Zion or not. Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers are weighing on a big decision: trade the No. 3 pick for a star or keep it, go young and risk losing Damian Lillard. Brian Windhorst recently reported that Dame ‘does not want a youth movement.’ Nick and the crew decide whether Dame should finally leave Portland.

  1. Once he said he was healthy physically but not mentally for playoffs game that was a big red flag pelicans should wait till he plays looks good then trade him

  2. Moving defintley doesnt help that if what Moriah said was true and he flew her out lmao

  3. Chris basically wants his cake and eat it too. He wants to keep Zion when he still has value but then is willing to trade him for max value once his value takes a nose dive.

    Not how it works buddy.

  4. I would’ve done it for scoot tbh, I think a PG next to Brandon Ingram is a better fit than a PF next to BI

  5. Trade zion for dame. Brandon Ingram, CJ, Dame should do some damage with that cast. Herbert Jones, Trey Murphy III

  6. Pelicans head medical trainer
“Zion, you gotta stop eating the Big Macs”

Zion: “we gotta get rid of this guy”

  7. I’m one of the only pelicans fans and I have to say, we’re stuck and the only way out is moving him.
He is entering year 5! And he’s only played about 40% of games.
He has shown 0 commitment to his body, 0 commitment to the team “I’m healthy I’m just not Zion” what does that even mean? Get him out of town.

  8. Zion got a girl from ghetto gaggers with a ankle monitor on pregnant. Zion gotta move teams. How do u face ppl in that locker room after getting such a thot pregnant lmao

  9. Man wilt the stilt was going crazy could you imagine if social media was around back in the day?

  10. When you're a celebrity since your mid-teens I think you can develop somewhat less of the professional, hard-working attitude necessary to excel at the highest level.
