Pat face it,when you get rid of Lowry,Depo,Duncan,Love,Zeller,Sturs,and Highsmith,and build around Buttler,Bam,Herro,Martin Jovic,Yurts,Cain,Orlando Robinson,and resign Vincent,and get a true center,vacation up power forward,and a shooting guard,and some roll players,that's when this team will win. And Pat this season sucked.
Caleb, Max, Gabe, Kevin and Duncan have been really awesome this season. They are true Heat players. I love em. But Jimmy and Bam have a really good connection with Tyler. When those two aren't having a good game, they've got Tyler to go to. So Pat is right, we miss Tyler. Pat has made it clear for a couple of years now, Jimmy, Bam and Tyler are now the Heat's core. And this team will only get better, maybe this year we get a ring, or maybe next, but it's coming. In the 4 years that Pat built the team around Jimmy, Bam and Tyler, they've never missed the playoffs, got to 3 eastern conference finals. Won 2 ECFs. Got to 2 NBA Finals. No team has ever done that. Not the bucks, lakers, nuggets, warriors, celtics. Yes, no ring in those 4 years. But damn that's impressive.
