So effectively they're paying Beal to do the same role they could sign any starting calibre scoring guard (for example Dennis Schroder) to do for far less money?
Of course he can… Just look at the success of Kevin Durant's last "big threes" outside of GS.
It is NOT a big 3… Stop saying it is.

How are you gonna beat Denver if you don't have Ayton to slow down the Joker ?
Unless the Suns is getting the pieces from traying Ayton, they simply has no money to add the depth, basically all of the new players will need to take the minimum.
I feel like Dwight Howard should be getting a call from Phoenix in the coming months because he’s shown he’s still up to it playing in Taiwan and he appears to have adapted somewhat to the 3pt evolution. Mind you, he’s not the one answer, but he’s a vet minimum who can play 10 minutes a night behind Ayton and help in the playoffs, especially if he’s willing to take and make the occasional 3. I really think he’s a guy who would help Phoenix out for the budget they have available.

Frank Vogel chosen to get the Center more involved in the scoring to coincide with improved interior defense.
Beal was 36% from the corners and 40% on catch and shoot. Those are not great numbers, in fact the corner number is outright bad. Literally, both numbers are worse than what shamet and Craig put up for Phoenix.
He will attack close outs better, until teams stop closing hard
Taller than chris paul… more realable in defense position also his wide and bigger chris…quicker than paul. Better score percentsge than paul output in 2023. No prone injury in his career. He is complete package trade for Phoenix suns. Booker will not be pressure together with durant for every quarter team offense. 99.9% wcf 2024 season. Sign taller center could match up joker. Dedmon good support center with outside shooting touch.
Yes it can work but it doesn't mean that they are significantly a better team than last season. If Ayton isn't traded, this is a bad trade now and the future because its given that its a bad trade for the future but they can still improve by trading Ayton.
Only questions facing the suns now are how do they fill out the bench and can beal stay healthy
just move Ayton for depth
My take on this is I hope Beal becomes ray allen of those late 200s Celtics teams averaging 18-20 on high efficiency sacrificing for the team. A lot of people are talking about the contract but with shamet and cp3 we were in cap hell anyways why not go get an all star level player for a guy we were going to cut a bad bench player and second round picks. It’s cap he’ll either way and book has shown enough to play the point for me while being a sneaky plus defender. Hoping Vogel can coax some heart out of Ayton and we should be either the western champ or make Denver sweat
The Suns is the only team that got two wins from Nuggets.
Maybe next year's championship belongs to Suns.
