I'm not sure Zion cares to be healthy for the Pelicans. If he was playing for a team that he felt for sure they could win a title and a team that would put him in the limelight like the Lakers, I think he would be more motivated to play and to stay healthy enough to play, but that has yet to be seen. He might be the same breed as AD and after getting one ring, he might get out of shape and lose his motivation again.
