    From 247 Sports:

If you’re looking for a legit “3-and-D” candidate at the end of the first round, Ben Sheppard may be the best option. The 6-foot-5 guard was known primarily for his shotmaking this year, knocking down 2.5 3s a game at a 42.5% clip, but is a far more versatile two-way player than he gets credit for. In fact, there’s even a case to be made that he’s a potentially overrated shooter (68% free-throw with mechanics that aren’t pure from deep) with an underrated floor game. He can attack closeouts and score in different ways within the flow of the game and is also a serviceable defender. If his movement shooting numbers (49%, according to Synergy) pan out long term, then there’s definite sleeper potential here.

  2. Might be one of the nicest human beings I’ve met. Stayed at Belmont instead of pursuing high major NIL $$ and improved a ton year-over-year. The FT shooting is a bit flukey — he had the yips. Would expect that to come around.

Got to learn from Grayson Murphy at Belmont and it shows. Basketball IQ you can’t teach.

I don’t know anything about him, but from what I’m seeing, looks like a good kid with lots of talent

Pacers have good luck with picks named Ben lately so i’m hopeful.

Wasn’t this guy the bass player of soundgarden

Pacers seem to really be targeting players with high iq and feel (Nembhard, Jarace, Sheppard), but they’re also willing to take some chances on athletes with some needed skill work (Mathurin, Kendall Brown). Decent mix.

I watched some of this guys highlights, HE’S NICE. Amazing body control and smooth finishing at the rim, has a nice layup package and a pretty tight dribble. Also a dog on defense, he could be a huge steal.
