There’s definitely a market, just not a max market

Turns out the SF his name was under on the leaked draft night white board actually stood for “so fucked”

    Thank you.

Lol there absolutely is. It’s not for a ton of money but tons of teams would take him.

I am a broken record, but there’s real opportunity if he opts in and we find a trade partner. He at least gets 35M (which he may not hit this year in FA) and it completely opens up his destination options, with the Sixers getting a decent/good return in the process. No one may be psyched to give long term money but a lot of teams would be interested in Harden’s play on a contract year.

  6. I’d rather pay him the kind of money they are giving Tobias Harris. Harden is still borderline All-star, Harris is a solid 18ppg starter, that’s it. He wasn’t able to exceed the success he had with the Clippers, even with the same coach (Rivers.)

    > Harden is still a very good player, but he is certainly not a SuperMax-level guy anymore.

3 years $100M that’s really a 2+1 player option. That’s the “compromise” deal where both sides walk away unhappy (which means it’s a “fair” deal all things considered). Alternatively, you could do a straight 2 years at $75-80M with the same logic applying.
