I’m praying this is one of those cases where our name just gets involved in everything to raise interest because let’s not reverse all the positivity from draft day with that contract pls
There’s no way we could match that salary without gutting the roster. Filling out the roster will be hard enough
The only thing that comes to mind is that this is some kind of a backup plan in case Kyrie leaves — then, if you were to trade THJ/McGee/etc for Harris’s expiring, you could hope to be sort of competitive this year but more importantly open up a ton of cap space next year…
With Kyrie onboard, I don’t really see a point to getting Harris…
