After a failed three-team trade with the Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers that would’ve seen the Boston Celtics exchange their sixth man of the year winner in Malcolm Brogdon, for Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis. The Celtics were forced to pivot and make a difficult decision. A decision that involved trading a former defensive player of the year and fan favorite Marcus Smart. It was a tough call to make by Celtics President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens. But given Porzingis’ seamless fit with the Celtics’ current roster, it seemed like a risk worth taking. However, I’m afraid that this trade could spiral into a domino effect of events…and Marcus Smart’s departure was the first domino to fall.

im a celtics fan and i just dont get it porz is a good player but we have centers we have 4s the celtics were much better running it back and working on there offence not being so 3 point focused or getting 3 point shooters to facilitate. getting another big when you already have bigs seems stupid.
