They also shouldn’t give their picks because Dame and Jimmy are older and the team could be bad by then.

I might be a pessimist . Jaime was the 18th pick and by most critics a great pick(so just consider him a 1st round pick). 2027 and 2029 would probably be good picks since the Miami roster would be drastically different. Maybe slap every possible pick swap and seconds. It’s not an ideal deal, but it’s a deal that blazers would have to accept if dame asks for Miami . 3 1st, multiple 2nd, all the swaps possible. 🙁

Playing devil’s (Heat) advocate, why would Miami deal Herro for Dame in the first place? He’s younger than Dame, bigger than Dame, and he’s a lights out shooter and arguabky one of their best players. Yes, he’s not Dame Dolla by any stretch, but he’s not 11 years deep either.

It would probably be like a 3 team trade if Dame gets moved. Maybe with a team like the Thunder or someone with a few young PFs or centers. Herron going to the 3rd team, blazers getting picks and a pf and probably Lowry to make the salaries match. Lowry then becomes the blazers bench pg who mentors the younger guards till his contract is up.
