[Steve Popper] Derrick Rose is likely to leave the Knicks in free agency, per @StevePopper “There are contending teams — the Lakers, Suns, Celtics or even a return to his hometown Bulls — who could have minutes available at point guard for Rose.”

Honestly I think he’s going to the Suns who will guarantee Rose a starting spot. But having Rose off the bench won’t hurt our team.

He can still play and I’d assume be cheap but I don’t like the idea of a brogdon and rose bench for the backcourt for availability reasons.

Speaking for us. No interest at all

Rose would not get minutes on our team what lol

  5. He doesn’t really provide anything we need and he washed anyways

  6. Brad-Stevens

even Thibs wouldn’t give him minutes when they had PG injuries

    Pass

Rose is respected, maybe I can see a team sign him for that. Even with his career revival, now his body still can’t hold consistent minutes. All the d riders would hate to hear that though, rose has a cult like fanbase.

My heart jumped for a second reading Derrick in the preview of this post…

Otherwise, wouldn’t mind as a bench end for vet min, we have to fill Muscala and Gallo spots as well anyways

Hell no, Thibs didn’t give him any minutes last year for a reason. Even when they had injures, Miles McBride played over him because he was better. Dude averaged 5 PPG on 48% TS when he did play.

The only way he chooses another team over the Bulls is if the Lakers offer him a ton of money. Finishing his career in Chicago, where he would be beloved, is worth more than that Phoenix or Boston could pay him.

Been trash since his second injury in Chicago. Mentally he isn’t there. 2 years to rehab an injury that is mental.

people looking at just the name not the production.

Love the guy and feel for him, but idk if any team in the league NEEDS him or doesn’t have a better option, he should either go back to the Bulls on a bs legacy contract or just retire, I don’t see a Derrick Rose redemption arc happening in any capacity as cool as it would be to see

I’d probably grab a jersey if he signed with us, one of my fav players all time but I doubt he’s coming here. Probably would finish up his career with the Bulls.

If there is one thing we don’t have, it’s minutes for a declining guard an entire decade past his prime
