Second, I’m a Blazers fan. But I have been pulling for the Suns since their undefeated, run in the bubble. SO CLOSE against Milwaukee… just not the right time I guess.
It better work fast. None of their stars play great defense. And that matters.
A ton of money on the books. And little to no draft picks until the end of this decade. I don’t see a “ton of talent” coming to the Suns because of Book, KD and Beal. But time will tell.
The new CBA will be hard on the Suns.

I think it's a terrible trade…. It's exciting to get another star but losing depth for beal is terrible. I know you guys are huge fans… Monty would've work better in the current offensive coaching system. Frank plays bigs… and this team looks to off Ayton and get him off the books. On paper right now this looks terrible… not talking about their individual stats just the team overall atm. 3 iso players. 2021 to now durant played on average of 46 game a season, booker 63 and beal 50. I think this team will need the 3 guys to play at least 60 games to land the 3rd to 4th seat. It's already known that the Suns has one of the worst bench in the league… with the new CBA it makes it even harder to get guys… signing vet minimum and buyout is like the only options now aside from trading Ayton.
It is a salary dump for Washington.
On paper this looks good but the reality is that Durant and Beal have missed alot of games over the last several seasons and they are only getting older. If healthy they could be in contention for the next several seasons but am not confident they will. And I am not sure that they complment each other as good as you may think.
Congrats but I hope y'all have studied the new cba. Y'all have 4 guys taking up around 163 million. If you go over 179 million you are not allowed to sign buy out guys you are not allowed to do sign and trades you are not allowed to use a mid level exception you are not allowed to sign anyone to more than a minimum. And if you are over 179 mill for I think it's 3 seasons any pick you have auto becomes the last pick in the round. Plus there is more. It is brutal once you go over that 179 mill mark especially if you stay there. So y'all have 16 mill to fill out 11 roster spots at least. It will be extremely tough. I would assume ayton will be moved for pieces but that would have to happen I think before July 1. Sincerely wish y'all luck

Gonna sell a lot of jerseys and pack up the arenas – which is what owners really care about – but will it help deep in the playoffs, when things are mucked up, score is 80-80 and what you do on defense determines whether you win or lose? I fail to see how this trio is better than the trio of younger KD-Irving-Harden.

Can someone explain why people are excited about this? Regardless of injury history or how little was given up, how does taking on a $50 mil/year contract for a player that does the exact same thing as Booker and Durant and completely remove any ability to improve the depth or defense make the team better? Having 3 ball dominant/mid range isolation shot creators does not seem like a championship winning strategy.

Pretty Incredible they got him for so little, but star power wasn’t the suns problem last year. Unless they can turn ayton into like 4-5 legit rotation players they’re still going to get bullied eventually in the playoffs.
No defense and no bench bad trade really
The literally last thing the Suns needed was more shot creation and shot creation in the mid range. They didn't give anything up but they didn't get better in any real appreciable manner other than you could argue health. This team is now destined to be over the second apron with zero depth/defense unless they can pull off a DeAndre Ayton for good spare parts trade.
