I may be in the minority I think Ayton would be a great move.

I’d like to know what the supposed package was

John Collins has ruined any trade value for Ayton. Hopefully the offer wasn’t anything more than Bullock and Hardaway

  4. I don’t want to help Phoenix and I am not sure Ayton is worth it.

My question with Ayton is if he’s drafted 15th does anyone think of him this highly? I really think getting picked ahead of guys like Luka, Trae and even JJJ while being reasonably good massively inflates how people look at him.

Ayton could be a good fit, but depth is becoming more important in today’s league, and without large expiring contracts a deal would likely be detrimental overall. It also makes sense that Phoenix would want to give him another season with their new group considering how much they’ve committed to his max salary.

Looks as tho Atlanta misread the trade market pre draft and I feel like our offer was more than likely pre draft as well so have to think phx will come down on their asking price or just roll with him til the TDL.

I never saw him being traded to us regardless of what we offered do the “feud” or competitive bad blood currently between these 2 franchises

I look at this a different way (if true) and it’s about the teams willingness to accept risk. And if this team is willing to take a shot on Ayton they should at least gauge NO interest in getting rid of Zion.

I’m glad we didn’t get him. He’s a good player but a snowflake in the head. He will miss an assignment and Luka would bark at him and he will sulk for ten games. I’ll take lively over him all day long.

Haynes is spinning this to make it act like it’s in Phoenix’s favor.

Phoenix is desperate to get quality role players out of Ayton. We probably were “serious” about offering Tim and Bertans.

Realistically, Phoenix probably can and should get two guys 7th/8th men who meet his salary.

But right now Ayton’s value has never been more negative on that big of a contract after that bad of a playoffs performance. And how the fuck are you gonna have tension with Monty Williams of all coaches?

Apparently THJ-Holmes-McGee but suns didn’t want to take McGee’s money. Seems weird to me for both teams honestly
