If reports are true and the Rockets have more or less locked up contracts with FVV and Brooks, then that would certainly take them out of the Reaves RFA market. But if not, I presume the Rockets make that offer sheet just for the sake of establishing a better relationship with Reaves and his agent for down the road.
Considering we are not contending yet, I personally would love to use our cap space to fuck over other teams. Throw bags at Austin, Cam, Lopez and Bruce Brown
I’m excited because it’s so easy to trade contracts anyways.
If Dillon brooks and FVV do great for a season or two, we can offload their contracts fairly easily.
If amen whitmore Tari etc make a huge leap by next year, we have contracts to send out
