Oh please let Mr Bet on Himself go anywhere but Toronto. We had terrible chemistry last season and 80% of that was Nurse and Fred’s jealousy of Scottie Barnes. I don’t want Fred back on $25m a season let alone more than that. Fred was the 6th worst shooter of any regular starter in the NBA and he’s looking for max money. It shows how delusional he is about what he brings. His defence and shooting slipped dramatically last season.
you don't pay tax until the last game of the season is done. so, plenty of time to kick the tires on the best team we can roster and make moves at deadline to avoid the tax. Everyone is so concerned with the tax you would think media folks who do this for a living would point this out to the fan base. stop panicking folks just because we enter the tax now does not mean we finish the season above it.

This boner is mocking 20 million for Jak – here are some guys in the NBA getting paid 20 million: Capela, Miles Turner, Eric Gordon, DeAndre Hunter, Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Evan Fournier, Bogdanovic – I think Jak is well in his average ballpark, for a consistent, POP groomed professional who is rarely hurt and always shows-up ready to play, can get a few buckets in a hurry, protects the rim, and always play defense. I mean, you want to give your sweetheart Matthews the most money in the league, after successful failing in the 1st round of play-offs for 7 years. Only to beat a tired, old team, (with a few breaks and OT's needed), only to be punched out in the 2nd round w/o any fight. Seasons don't win cups, but you want to pay him like a play-off winner! You are proof that your job is credited on being a "company guy" and not much as a sports-mind.

I wouldn't take Fred back even for $15M/season. He may do better on another team, but it's clear to many of us long time fans that it will be hard for the young players to grow while Fred is still here.
Love him to bits for what he did during the 2019 playoffs, and all Raps fans should appreciate him for that magical run, but its probably time for sides to part ways. Just because something worked before doesn't mean it does now.
Fred should be more appreciative of the opportunity he was given, but he just wants more and more.
