This is a fair deal. No way was Vucevic taking $15-17 million annually.

Who else did we have at center who was going to put up 18 points and 11 rebounds a night and play 82 games? Do we know how this contract is structured? For me this is a good contract with a player that figures to be productive for another 3 years and the cap projected to increase every year. Plus, Vooch isn’t the problem on this team…that’s Demar, a player who was billed to be a better playmaker than he’s proven to be in a Bulls uniform and who consistently ignores Vooch on offense, inexplicably refusing to set Vooch up in the post despite Vooch being a dominating presence on the block. If we can find a way to trade Demar and get a decent point guard this season we will be much better off.
Good value deal, in this day honestly it might be a steal. It's guys much worst getting 30 mill plus
BTW it could still be a back end sort of deal where he takes a tad less this season to give us full access to the full mle and then paid a bit more toward the end of his deal.
And I agree , it's not much better options out here. You let vuc go, now you just created a hole at center with very few assets to make up for it. At 20 mill per its a great trade chip as well.

He wasn't a Allstar bc he was the 3rd option…I hate how people act like vuc is a bum…he was the 3rd option and still average 18 and 11…that's. Pretty damn good in my opinion.

Vuc can’t start of with 14/16 pts in the first half and end up with 18 pts at the end of the game. Billy has to force the players to keep feeding him the ball it’s not hard to win games…
They need a two center with the roster they have. Vooch not bad just doesn't fir this roster hopefully it's a sign n trade
Bulls are not in a position to let talent walk away. He is good not great, but for a team without many options, it was important to get him signed.

Number one fans need to chill and shut up, they want the perfect player who is good at everything, not possible. His scoring is down because he is not the main focus, zach and demar get the most shots and he still gets double doubles. It is the coach who is using him wrong, the coach should play Vuc to the playing style of the joker. When he did that last year bulls would win and games and they were more competitive. Keep him off the 3 point line have him do post plays and dish out the ball and shoot the ball from around 15 to 18 feet, that fault is on the coach…
