  1. Makes me wonder what is going on. Cam and Knox at the respective QO and TO would have been decent filler for trades at the deadline. Gotta wonder if something else big is coming and we have to shed salary. Maybe to make sure we can use the NTP MLE? Or bringing more salary back in a trade?

    Let’s hope it’s for a good reason

  3. I’m hoping this means we have no time for guys like Knox next season. The 3M for trades would’ve been nice but they’ve got options.

Idk why everyone is so bummed about this. He was fine for a very bad, ugly, tanking team, but if they hope to actually be decent he was never going to crack the lineup. And clearly there’s no trade lined up to use him so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dude doesn’t belong on the roster of a good team, at this point. Maybe he’ll get better, but I think he should brush up on his Mandarin.

I’m actually surprised, I thought theyd keep him for super cheap salary as a 10th man. But I am not super locked in on the financials though.

Could have used his salary as a match in a planned trade. Not thrilled about this.

KJ’s TO has already been picked up. He is the $3M equivalent, on the third year of his contract, which still has another TO. That expiring $3M contract is already there.

Scoot’s first year will be for about $9M, and Murray about $2.5M.

You don’t have room for Cam’s QO with Scoot.

You don’t have room for Knox’s TO with Murray.

You still have to use exception room to sign Rupert.

You have to sign those players to contracts, and have the open roster slots to sign them, in order to have/know what your exceptions are.

  9. I hope he gets another shot somewhere… when they stopped playing Cam, he showed some range and a nose for the ball. He’s better than I thought at least
