[Warriors PR] The Warriors have extended qualifying offers to guards Ty Jerome and Lester Quinones. By extending a qualifying offer to Jerome and Quinones prior to today’s deadline, Golden State owns the right to match any offer sheet they may sign with another team.

No lamb 👀 maybe because they already have plan for forwards

  2. Oh_no_bros

Ty definitely deserves a contract. He got a lot of unwarranted hate last year for someone who took care of the ball and was a decent playmaker.

I’ve been telling people he’s on the squad already whether they like it or not. And it’s not a bad signing. Insurance for when Steph and/or CP3 gotta rest. I’m down. But that means we only have two spots left?

  4. drunkpandabear

We keep on hearing that folks in the building are super high on Quinones. When are we going to see him actually get on the floor?

I thought I saw a report that they had declined the QO for Ty. Them extending it to him probably indicates they plan to bring him back as our 3rd string PG.

  6. push_karrr

I like this. In all likelihood, we will sign him as our #3 back-up PG.
For someone who shot 39/54/92 playing 15 MPG, it’s a no brainer that we get him back.

If you check the FA market, the PG spot is not that deep. Ty Jerome is liked by our FO & Kerr, and brings a lot of energy. I like this.

Glad we’re bringing Ty back. He’s fun to root for

  8. kraljaca

Ty as PG #3 makes a lot of sense. Knows our system better than any newcomers, especially at a vet min.

Hoping we’re able to keep our Big 4 of Steph, Klay, Draymond, and Ty

I was surprised by the reports they weren’t going to sign Ty. He was a steal on a two way last season and we’ll badly need him with CP3 being load managed, and if there’s any injuries to Steph or Dray. Very good signing.

Now we just need a stretch big or 2

MDJ is like two key FA signings away from a pretty intelligent start to his tenure

  12. 2ndGreatestBuff

Both good moves. TJ is plenty solid for a #3 PG.

  13. EloWhisperer

Ty is solid and doesn’t turn the ball over like Poole

  14. wardell_rocks

Does this mean Quiones needs to be on the roster or can we match any 2-way contract?

  15. GigiZola

I hope we find ways to keep both, hopefully Ty on a minimum as 3rd string PG and Lester on a 2-way.

I like Ty for when CP rests, he helped us win games last year when we were in the trenches. I think the FO is high on Quinones, he killed it in the G-league and can become the scoring combo guard we’ll be missing after JPs exit

  16. CarryOnUptheMorning

I like Ty he’s decent and would be a good 3rd pg.

  17. boonstag

What was up with the report this morning about giving Nico a QO? Did they mix up Ty and Nico?

  18. Hell yes!! Also Slater needs to get better sourcing lol 🥴

  19. Dry_Relationship7937

I like Ty and Q. But we all know the best thing about this news is that Lamb is not in it 😂

  20. People who don’t like signing Ty clearly don’t recall the Quinn Cook or Brad Wanamaker/Mychal Mulder eras.

Ty is a steadying presence. Can get a bucket when we need it. Distributes and shoots well, can play off ball with Steph or CP3. Doesn’t commit many TOs. Not terrible on D. Not bad for a 3rd PG.

  21. sprinkles5000

open the roster spots. we don’t need 2 additional point guards.

  22. ajbardalo

I got downvoted months back for saying wed trade Poole and extend to Ty lmao mannn
