  1. 😂 What's new…

They didn''t trust in the 2004 Pistons up 3-1 with a 20 point lead in the for with 2 minutes to go. The ALWAYS negative station. I'm not saying praise anyone when it's not deserved. Troy Weaver has done an average job at best but I don't want to always hear negative. I get enough of that on the news!

  2. 60-176 Weaver's record as GM for the pistons. He has earned the right to be questioned.

  3. Isaiah Stewart shot 44% from the field and 32% from 3 Defensively he avg 0.7 blocks and 0.4 steals 11 pts 8 reb in 28 min per game.

Marvin Bagley shot 53% from the field and 29% from 3. Defensively he avg 0.7 blks ans 0.5 steals 12 pts 6.5 rebs in 23 minutes.

Which Player is more productive and fits with Cade.

  4. I see the European Media trying to turn the NBA into the Euro/League. Hey 👋🏾 I’m tired of seeing 7 footers shoot 3’s. Get yo big az down in the paint and use your height to score easy baskets. Whats the point of being 7-5 if you shooting 3s.

I guarantee Popavich won’t have Wembenyama shooting 3s.

  5. 97.1 The Ticket basketball takes are about as credible as those big baller brand shoes. When it comes to basketball, I really don't be taking what they be saying seriously.

  6. March 1, 2024. That is the soonest we should see the Pistons begin to coalesce…or not. Then we can talk about Weaver and the future. Let's face it, only getting the number 5 pick didn't help. Pistons need talent, pure and simple.

  7. I believe in Troy Weaver. I'm already looking forward to seeing where the Pistons end up in next season's draft lottery.

  8. To b far he has droped the ball on killian so far toppin would have been better pick n fit i understand the need of pg but he's by far the worst pg out that draft maxey or haulinburber would have also been a better fit beef stew is a back up 4/5 at best no real upside barely shoot livers is extremely overated bey looked promising "which 3:53 3:53 why the Pistons traded him "

  9. I wouldn't trade the young players that we've got on our roster with the roster of ANY of the other young "rebuilding" teams out there. Get a freaking grip. This team is still a couple of "development" years away from being really competitive, but that's the nature of rebuilding from scratch.

  10. I was one of the first to call out Costa, in that tweet, 97.1 all about negative contents and trying to cause a buzz with listener, no one being a homer but that tweet was so horrible.

  11. People quickly forget how horrible our roster was before Troy took over we now have high quality talent now whether they win or not is up to the players and coaches but Troy has done his job acquiring the high end talent

  12. Weaver in his defense came in on a strapped franchise with no lottery picks, no assets on roster, a demolished roster from Stan Van Gundy and Dumars financially.
Weaver created financial flexibility every year, save the owner money, and landed a first pick in 50+ years. He gets extended in my opinion.

  13. I know Jim from his time working in Grand Rapids. He's a great dude and his radio persona is nothing like what he's like in real life. I will say, his sports watching is mostly football related and he's a college football junkie. Outside of that, he mostly pays attention to the Lions, Wings and Tigers… Basketball is his least favorite sport to cover. His takes are for clicks and most of the time he's getting all his info through box scores and what other people are telling him is the "right take." That's what he was like in GR… Maybe he's changed since he got to Detroit, but it sounds like the same old Jim, to me. I'd take his takes with a grain of salt. He's just trying to create conversation to create listeners.

  14. When I lived in Detroit, I hated that station. Now that they’ve taken to the internet space I know why. The programs are so bland and uncreative, not to mention they have had the same personalities forever. Time for some new blood up there.

  15. Am I crazy, or didn’t this podcast and the stats show Ivey couldn’t finish close? Was I watching a different game? Am I reading fake stats?

  16. Fan based YouTube channels like this are why fans are so delusional. Let’s be honest four years ago the Suns, Mavs, and Grizzlies were all at the bottom of the western conference. Please stop catering to the fans. Sorry for the rant but I’m a die hard Pistons fan.

  17. Whitmore dropped for a reason, Walker wasnt a good fit with Stewart, and Hendricks had some holes in his game. Ausar was the right pick. Weaver putting together great character, talented assets. His picks have been really good. Yeah Hayes we still out on but i remember a bunch of ppl had him right behind Ball as the second best PG. They were saying Haliburtons shooting especially his 3 wouldn't translate to the NBA. Who knew? The Wiseman trade wasn't bad he averaged 12 and 8 and still has serious upside. Weaver isn't batting a 100 but he cleared capspace and has trade assets.

  18. I love the grounded reality of this channel!! , Despite the financial instability all over the world, I'm so excited this the second time withdrawing $78k profits off my investment

  19. It's not misinformed, 97.1 is all Piston Hater i.e. noted Celtic super fan Mike Valenti, and guys who don't watch NBA basketball i.e Rico, David, Doug, Gator, Costa etc. Plus the format of the radio is hot takes/piss people off so they call in, so that's not the place to go for balanced Pistons information. This team won 17 games by design, Cade got hurt, so we tanked for Wemby, we sat everybody that could help us win the last 25 games of the season on purpose. The core pieces actually fit together great in theory, You have Cade surrounded by long, insane athletes who defend and play their tails off. Based off track records from college and previous seasons, Cade should be able to shoot it, Ivey should be able to, Stew should be able too ,Livers will and Ausar made significant progress in the OTE playoffs shooting it. If you listen to national guys, they are all much higher on the rebuild and see how the pieces fit, guys like Sam Vecenie, Adam Spinella and Zach Lowe. In short, don't listen to 97.1 for informed Pistons takes, listen to them to laugh and be entertained. Go to the real analysts and the beat writers for the real story.

  20. Don’t know one give a damn about what 97.1 thinks. Ask around the league and everyone speaks highly about troy and what he’s doing here. If Stephen A smith who doesn’t give a dame about the pistons can say I like what Troy is doing and I trust Troy weaver. Than maybe, just maybe we got a good one here lol.

  21. We Need to Sign ONLY Cam Johnson ($110 MILLION), we are in the Playoffs. He is 6'9" and he is in his prime at 27 years old and he can shoot the 3 and play defense. He is the PERFECT Piece for our Team! Go ALL IN on Cam Johnson.

If the Pistons do a sign and trade with the Nets, they can save even more Cap Space, this maybe the reasoning of the Pistons Picking up the option for Burks.

Burks and Marvin Bagley might be a part of a Sign and Trade with the Nets for Cam Johnson and would give the Pistons more CAP Space Flexibility for additional FA signings.

This Makes sense for the Pistons; this is the Final Piece to the Puzzle. Trust Me.

  22. I agree with you guys 100% I hated to watch the Pistons last year but I had too I’m a true fan …We will be better this year!
