[Fischer] Early indications are that Russell and the Lakers could come to terms on a two-year, $40 million deal with the second year a team option or non-guaranteed. Also look for Cam Reddish as a potential addition to the Lakers on the veteran’s minimum.

I read that as Russel Westbrook. I immediately got lightheaded lol

  2. That’s probably not a bad deal. Still a tradeable contract if it doesn’t work out.

We have to bring him back if there’s no viable sign and trades, cuz we won’t be able to replace him if we just let him walk.

  3. Come to the Lakers where your career is revitalized

  4. Brokenbullet14

I see wantanobi or whatever his name is still likes Durant

  5. Basically an expiring 20 million contract, very tradable. Can we make it an extension so we wouldn’t have to wait until the end of December if we wanted to trade him.

20M per year for DLo is not bad at all, we’ll see what Rui gets too

    Loving this! Let Rob cook!

  8. ngmathew1234

That is a good Dlo deal for the lakers.

  9. slicknick2k

How were Reddish’s numbers on the Blazers last year?

  10. Gristle__McThornbody

Decent yearly number. Sets up perfectly for a trade at the deadline.

  11. Soaring_Seagull24

That’s a good deal for d’lo, WCF be damned.

  12. motorboat_mcgee

I would love that contract for D’lo

  13. incredibleamadeuscho

Good deal for DLo. I hope it’s a team option.

  14. nottherealstanlee

This is an excellent deal for both sides imo. Super tradable contract and Dlo had no other suitors. He’s going to be really really useful for the regular season.

20 mil a year is a great deal for Dlo and a extremely tradable contract. How crazy would it be if Russ Westbrook returned tho LOL

  16. MReprogle

Great deal if it gets done. A couple million more than I thought he would get per year, but we are buying ourselves some insurance. It’s also super tradeable at the deadline, if need be.

For the love of god, do NOT sign Cam Reddish. That dude is done. He can’t shoot, barely defends and just lacks any motor.

There is a reason he is getting passed around.

  18. WhatTheRickIsDoin

Phil Handy’s powers would be tested on Reddish

  19. danyyyel

It is a fair price for someone that could give us 5 10 victories without LeBron or AD having to exert themselves too much during regular season.

  20. TheWhisperingDeath

I am very low on DLo after than Denver series but honestly this would be a good deal for both DLo and the Lakers.

Lakers get a PG who can shoot and offer help during the regular season while giving DLo one more chance to be more impactful during the playoffs. At the same time get some continuity back. At worst if it doesn’t work out, they can always trade him.

  21. Halcyon_Dreams

I’m telling you, he’s going to play like shit and be a dogshit contract that no one else will want and we’ll give up assets to get rid of it

  22. CrimsonLaw77

Honestly, 20 mil with an out in year 2 is a really solid deal for a player that produces in the regular season like DLo. That’s a super trade-able contract at midseason to if we decide to go that route.

There will be worse players who sign for more this offseason.

  23. DarkKnightCometh

Yeah he fell off in the WCF, but I like that we’re sticking with him. Give him at least one off season to develop some chemistry, and hopefully this means we’re both trading for Kyrie

  24. collapse1122

thats an alright number. people just remember how terrible he was on conf finals but before that he was solid

  25. Fine with it, but you have to wonder can he even get $20m a year in the open market? Detroit now lost most their cap space too.

  26. Reminder that despite WCF he saved us with some big quarters/spurts on earlier rounds, that + regular season is worth it

  27. isit65outsideor

$20 million is simply too much for Russell. There’s no teams with cap space offering him near that.

  28. trustprior6899

This is actually not bad. I said anything below $25M is good
