Even if he does sign here he’ll still be somewhere else at this time in 2024. And at least Kuz was a really great presence for the young guys. He stopped guys from getting techs, pulled guys to the side and pointed out things and gave tips, and he’s a very positive, non-toxic presence. The team will need that as they slog through a 20-win season, to understand it’s just about getting better. So it’s a win-win to me. Well except for the part where some people will be swearing he is not as good as some other folks that were here last season lol

Seems like the market is drying up. If he could be signed on a 3 year/$60m contract a la Vucevic I don’t think it would be *too* bad, but I don’t know if he’ll accept that. Still gotta move him at some point unless you’re banking on a 30-year-old Kuzma being part of the post-tank lineup.
Kuz gonna re-sign for 60M/2yr deal and gets traded before deadline. There’s no market for him and Wiz shouldn’t lose him for nothing.

This is difference between the old regime and new one. Old would have signed him for way over market price, new one is being patient.

Harrison Barnes averaged 15-4.5-1.5 and just got 18M per at age 31.
Kuzma is 27 and averaged 21-7-4. Pretty sure he’s going to hit that 25M+ per year.
I think Kuz did us a favor
