Obi was fun to watch on the break but he was a horrible fit from the beginning. His numbers will improve w/ Halliburton but Obi isn't gonna make Indiana a much better team now that they have him. That said, for every good decision this front office has made, there's just as many bad one's. Drafting Obi while Thibs is the HC, Fournier, Kemba, re-signing Noel, Burks, trading for Cam & now not trading Obi at the end of his rookie season when they decided to re-sign Randle. They could've gotten a much better package back then if they were forward thinking. The problem is there's too many chefs in the Front Office's kitchen.
Not only will the two 2nd round picks probably amount to nothing but teams wanted Obi and we lost a valuable trade asset way too early if the case was he absolutely had too go smh F trade in my book

A+ for the Pacers and a F- minus for the Knicks. Obi will finally be able to shine and show us the huge mistake we have made with dumb dumb leading this team. Tibbs is outdated, stubborn and doesn't have a offensive bone in his body. He doesn't adjust, he gets out coached always and he has no plays (offense is not in his vocabulary). Randall is a virus that has spread and brought this team down since day 1. Until they are both gone, to include the incompetent leadership we will never get passed the 2nd round. The team made it to the second round not because of the coach, but was lead by pure determination and will to win!!!! He was fired by 2 other teams for doing the same thing, so why is he still the coach of the knicks!!!
Marshall you keep saying that OBI do not play defense. Let me ask you, does Juluis plays defense? We drafted the guy, we should give them a chance. Tom is the problem and I do not think Knicks nan win with Julius.

I love Obi… The compensation is proof of his value. Besides the dunks what did he bring to the table? He locked down nobody. No low post moves. No rebounding but he’s upset.
Thibs and Obi didn't mesh well since he was drafted for some reason. Julius was clearly injured in the playoffs and the coach still choose to play Julius heavy minutes when Obi was playing good. Obi has been treated poorly since he was drafted as a Knick and im glad that he gets a chance to get some quality minutes.
Obi spoke truth on Thibs coaching skills. He chose Randle on a bum ankle over a healthy Obi. Those who criticize his defense must think Randle is a great defensive player… Smh…

It's time to FIRE Leon Rose & Thibodeau. Another great move by this stupid organization. Obi will soon take Randles spot on the All Star team. But first, I predict Randle will miss most of this season with Injury!!
I think the Knicks would have kept him until at least the trade deadline and maybe tried to get a better deal if it wasn't for the leaked audio. Better to move on from Obi than create more drama. Knicks have improved alot but some of their past tendencies still show from time to time. I hope they are learning from these mistakes..
