Don't put the Russell Westbrook idea on Rob Pelinka, LeBron James wanted Russ on the squad and Rob trusted in his recommendation, after that fiasco I don't think Rob will be so quick to 'trust' LeBron's urgings and I suspect LeBron has learned from the experience as well, just leave Rob to make the decisions, that's his job.
How is a team that goes to the Western Conference Finals a "RELATIVE" contender? Dumb. They BECAME a contender. In fact, they were part of the NBA's Final Four in 2023. Not Golden State. Not Milwaukee. Not Philly. Not Sacramento. And ALL these teams were contenders also. The Lakers and Miami Heat jut made the Play-In tournament SUPER relevant. Hopefully, next year, the Lakers won't need the Play IN to get into the post season.
