Oh! I didn’t know offer sheets could not go out until Thursday. This makes a ton of sense not! I can’t see Boston matching for Williams with them already being over the 2nd Apron and still needing to resign Brown and fill out the rest of their roster.

It looks like our FO is legitimately trying to do the right moves, but if teams with cap space are overpaying our MLE targets and giving them 20M+ there isn’t much we can do… Same with trades, you need 2 team to agree to it.
Obviously we need to do more moves still, but not everything is the FO fault, especially if players like Brooks and Brown went for 20M.

It’s a weak free agency class so I’ll give the Mavs the benefit of the doubt. The only game-changing moves they can make is through trades + their MLE targets got $20M a year from other teams. Can’t do that.
