Chris and Rob are absolutely wrong in this situation but technically correct. In a legal sense, they don't owe Dame anything except to pay him so they can trade him wherever. But, they owe him in a reputation sense and relationship sense. Dame has done way more for the franchise and the city of Portland than what was contractually obligated; on top of building the equity and brand of that franchise. The ROI the owner would get from selling that franchise, Dame plays a large part in that. This would be similar, but not on as large of a scale, to the Warriors starting the rebuild and Steph wanting out. The Warriors would owe Steph, whether he had a no-trade clause or not to trade him to wherever he wanted to go. They should reward his loyalty.
So, when the organization trade these guys without their knowledge? Does the same goes for the Organization? We've seen many times when a team signs a player and trade them at half time of a game, or while they have no idea. I think everyone is just mad because he want s to go to Miami…
The money these guys get is ridiculous. You can not compare that salary to any average person. I'm sure Dame will be just fine wherever he goes 😂. Rob and Chris scream at their guests and callers, like it's a Sunday BBQ in the yard with the family 😂

They aren't mad that he demanded a trade. They're mad he wants to go to Miami. Dame did the Interview during the Finals. He said Miami was his obvious choice if traded. Every NBA analyst then said Dame should get out of Portland and go to Miami because he would be a perfect fit. 1 month later, he demands a trade and it put the NBA World on notice. If Jimmy and Bam can carry the rosters they've had to 2 Finals in 4 years, imagine what they would look like with Dame?" It was reported when the news was released several executives cringed at the idea, with one saying "How the hell are we supposed to deal with that Big 3"….

Yeah, so they want to disrespect a very good journalist after bringing him on and then try to act like it’s all buddy buddy afterwards . Yeah, it’s pretty amazing how they will say you didn’t make a good point and you couldn’t make a clear enough point, but you kept cutting him off it’s pretty amazing the lack of respect . He was actually making a really good point that if you don’t do right by him, it’s that’s a standard going forward that a player owes no loyalty and nothing worse than taking the most money they can get . If the team wants to just get the best deal they can get for trading him that’s fine but teams better not ask about team friendly deals. If you’re not going to try to compromise for a franchise player was giving you everything why are you continuously disappointed then teams should not get team friendly contracts from anybody and they should just try to skalp every organization. The point for the longest time has been that if you do everything the right way, we will take care of you if it leads to a trade request and if they don’t do that it’s definitely gonna hurt the trail Blazers ever getting a deal in free agency or any kind of discount
