Max Strus and Georges Niang sign with Cleveland Cavaliers! Breakdown and contract details
Caris LeVert has returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers and will be joined by two new additions, Max Strus and Georges Niang, as Koby Altman sets the stage for a successful offseason.
Absolutely on point. That has been the issue of Cavs against the Knicks. The lack of spot up shooters to space up the floor while the Cavs have many players that can create plays with the likes of Garland, Donovan, and Levert while Allen and Mobley piling up on the paint. Okuro and Osman are not reliable shooters and Knicks and Tim def smells the weaknes of Cavs. Okuru cant hit ,3's consistent and he was exposed. It will change with Struss and Niang they dont het one shooter but two. Struss made 243 threes this season including the playoffs.
Reminder that Strus is more inconsistent than Cedi Osman, shot 0/10 in the finals and only shot 35% from three all of last season. We should’ve kept Osman.
Cedi got hosed by JB. I truly don't understand they why jacked his minutes around so often. Strus definitely has more gravity and chutzpah, and personality sometimes plays the most pivotal role.
I love the Minivan. He will allow the Cavs to play Mobley at the five. Evan will start hitting enough threes this season to make a Mobley, Niang, Strus, Spida, Garland lineup truly unguardable. It also allows Wade to play more at the three or two where he is a much better player. Playing him so much at the four last year was part of what killed his groove. (injuries being the primary reason.
LeVert isn't good, and I regret the Mitchell trade, but the team should be fantastic in the regular season. It will be up to Evan Mobley's development in the playoffs. If he breaks out enough to be the undisputed best player on the team like I expect, Mitchell and Levert's tendency towards heroball could be mitigated enough for a deep playoff fun. DM must channel his inner Jamal Murray style passing desire.
Cedi has been one of the most confounding players I've ever seen on the Cavs. I've seen him catch fire and hit some of the craziest 3 pointers in quick succession but then at other times he'll make the most boneheaded decision that makes you question if he even understands basketball
I dont like these moves but I do think the Spurs are the perfect landing spot for the homie Osman though. Max has gotta become 40% from 3 next season for all that bread, but then again could make for a good trade package.. Maybe..
Strus shot 35.0% on the season shooting 3's. Cedi shot over 37% and got worse looks by never starting and playing with inferior bench players more often. Strus makes double of what Cedi makes. Terrible move. Jb never gave Cedi a fair chance.

Damian Jones! Another rebounder!
Petsa always comes with the premier Cavs film breakdowns – these moves have been really excellent- especially when taken as a whole
Finally, cant wait forever for okoro to get it together.

Furthermore
As always, great video Mr.Pesta
Anything to get Osman off this team is excellent. I did like Stevens though, and his toughness.
