Maxey is overrated as fuck. I’ve had just about enough of this Maxey is untouchable garbage. Sixers fans have managed to gaslight everyone into thinking he is this young star in the making when he is fucking Immanuel Quickley with better PR. By the way Sixers fans talk, you would think he was SGA, Anthony Edwards or hell Ja Morant. He does nothing on the court other than be a decent floor spacer. Terrible defender. Has no handles. Can’t make a simple entry pass let alone play make. He is a glorified fucking Jamal Crawford. GTFOH with this Maxey bullshit.

Regardless of either players, Herro is the more realistic one and will still be a solid fit with this team assuming Ben still is here. Ben, healthy, can facilitate without pressuring Herro into being the full time ball handler and can also mask the defense that Herro lacks. Herro also isn’t a horrible playmaker either. He can make good passes and reads the defense just fine.
Herro, Twins, Ben, Clax. That’s solid 5 moving forward. Not contenders, but good building blocks. I’m not saying I want him, but I’d be content landing him.

It’s so funny hearing the discourse about Ant, Maxey and Hero and people acting like Maxey is just WAY better somehow.
I also think Maxey is the best out of the 3, but all 3 are super similar and none of giant downgrades from the next. Hero probably has the lowest ceiling out of the 3 but is still clearly a great long term player.

Yeah, the Herro slander is absurd. The only reason Maxey is as efficient as he is, is because he gets butt naked wide open looks from 3 since James Harden is arguably the best facilitator in basketball and Joel Embiid has insane gravity.
Herro still shot efficiently from 3(40% last year and 38% this year on high volume) on the worst offensive team in the NBA. He has to take these shots because he’s the only one capable of producing on that Miami Heat squad.
Maxey is great don’t get wrong at all, but Herro is a better playmaker and has shown flashes of being able to be a primary playmaker, better rebounder and with our team, he’s gonna get far better looks so his efficiency goes up. The minute he steps on our team, he’s the second best scorer.
The only issue I have is how much it would take to get him.
