[Weinbach] The Heat, Lakers, and Sixers are potential landing spots for free agent forward Christian Wood. There doesn’t seem to be much of a market for the talented big man. Wood is not expected to remain with Dallas after averaging 16.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season.

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try, not high on this guy tho. Basically the offense only version of whiteside with less attitude issues but still hasn’t built a good reputation in his career.

  2. Ugh I swear if the lakers get him….

We have not stopped hearing about how they won free agency

Attitude issues aside, vet minimum why not. Gonna need bodies to fill out the bench and it could motivate him to give a shit since he’ll be competing for playing time. He’s been with the Pistons, Rockets and the Mavs, not exactly known for having the best team culture.

If it works out, he’s an upgrade over Kevin Love starting and he can get the bag in the offseason, would be a win-win if he buys in

If we get Dame and this guy we upgraded at every position lol

Do we really need another big?.. We already got Bam, Love, Bryant, and Orlando.. I like that we’re adding some size on our roster but I feel like it’s not our prioirty anymore.

If Blazers weren’t being such dicks and done the deal already, we probably would’ve already gotten Wood and Beasley for vet mins

  7. I think attitude issues is a little unfair with this guy, he’s been with nothing but loser franchises and a stubborn coach in Jason Kidd. Him coming here is a fresh start

I could see he & his agent thinking that being a starter on an NBA Finals team can do a lot towards him securing a long term contract.

Probably goes to Lakers even tho the fit here would be incredible. Don’t know why he would want to sit behind Embiid for a season.

If a team that needs a center desperately what makes y’all think we would go get him? He’s the opposite of what the FO wants in a player

Remember when Wood was a dream for this sub?

  12. SpotLightGuy

Would take him in a second – he’s a perfect “finally put it all together” candidate in our system

  13. SoFarSoGood-WM

Guy just averaged 16/7 and is 27 years old. Why would he sign a minimum?

Wood would be a massive w for us if we get him after losing assets for Dame. I remember when people were asking to trade for him for a few years

  15. Vurtune011

man plays no defence there is a reason hes been on so many teams over the years, NO, even if he comes it will be a hard DNP, I’d rather we get Bol Bol

  16. MrRobotTheorist

Gonna have too many Bigs now. Bam, Love, Jovic, Orlando, Bryant, and Wood and possibly Nurik.

  17. We loading up on bigs now huh? We making sure we got length

  18. InGoodFaith2

Bam would kill it at his more natural position of power forward. I would love to see bam at the 4 for a season.

What’s up with this guy? Puts up decent numbers but he’s on a new team every year.

Dallas fan here. You don’t want him. I promise.

We should have got him a few years ago but now he’d be available for cheap. He’s almost a perfect fit for us. He’s the stretch 4/5 that can shoot and rebound. He can’t play defense but that’s the least of our worries. I don’t care about attitude issues, especially with how the heat run the organization.
