Okay here’s Holmes and an SRP for your trouble.

  2. Beef_Dirky

He’s going to be an essential piece of their 30 win season next year!

  3. amino110

Expected. We move now. Blazers did us good by not wasting time.

  4. DoncicsRoadTo200kg

Who is actually worth the MLE now?

  5. zGoatified

Fuck them seriously. Got him for basically nothing from 76ers then want to keep him to use as a asset. Fuck that give him up your teams going to tank hand him over to a winner. You ain’t getting a 1st round pick out of him.

  6. Damn… are there any players out there worth the full MLE or should we just split it up at this point?

  7. drivebabygoose

Was hoping they wouldn’t match but I can’t say I’m not surprised.

  8. hurricanesznsover

Was 50/50 on this. If we landed him, cool. But not mad we missed out on a guy who could stall the offense.

  9. killbill469

Not too sad about it. I’m not convinced that Matisse is a capable playoff caliber player.

Oh well. I’m sure Nico has a major Plan B on hand. It’s not the end of the world.

  11. Ok, not devastated since we also got Williams but time to pivot

  12. Mal_Swansky

Glad they did, I didn’t think betting on his small sample 3P% turnaround was a smart move.

  13. dallassportsguy

This sucks, but at least we should get some more news about Mavs moves now instead of waiting to see if they match.

Two questions Could we afford PJ or Oubre with our MLE? Would Charlotte be able to keep both?

I think we still need another wing, anyone else out there worth MLE?

  15. mrtemporallobe

Not sad about Thybulle specifically (he’s young but a pretty big offensive liability IMO), but I am a bit nervous about if we can still pivot and make one more free agency move to really level up. Here’s hoping.

  16. donnelson

Split it between bball paul and hami diallo

  17. CorruptedLoli

Good, I dont like one dimentional players.

  18. We should give Powell the full MLE now. He deserves it. Right guys?… Right?

  19. wheresthecheat

Now we pivot to PJ and see what magic Nico can do

  20. Expected would of been a good fit tho. Time to pivot to plan b. Put curry into the MLE saving the bi annual exception for next year and use the remaining money on oubre jr on a 1 year deal.

Let’s wait for another move when Dame gets traded, I am sure we’re looking into being one of the teams interested in swapping

  22. At least thanks for doing it fast Portland. on to the next one

  23. htking2019

He would’ve been great defensively, but I gotta admit I think the first time he went 0/6 folks would start firing up the trade machines lol

  24. Stonethecrow77

    Good for him and Portland.

He will be used a lot with all those young slashers.

    Alas…

  25. srteblue

Portland did us a solid by letting us know early. Nico is already working plan b.

  26. Redscareforcishetmen

You guys dodged a bullet on this one

  27. ESPN article said that Portland decided to match 1hr after Thybulle signed the offer sheet.

    Unnecessary drama.

  28. iAmBaTmAn1388

I feel like we dodged a bullet potentially. If he can’t improve his shooting he’ll be a reverse bertans contract. Overpaid one dimensional guy who’s unplayable.

  29. pimpfmode

They basically matched him to trade him to a contender at the end of the year
