Could’ve gave Klay and some young guys for him. Would’ve been good.
joemama1333
Cool but there’s no way we could have complied that salary or the rest of their asks. And he wouldn’t really fit what we have (and luxury taxes would be insane for 3 more years at least).
ImperialTiger3
No thank you. A trade for him would’ve killed our depth and ruined our future flexibility.

While this would’ve been awesome, the package would’ve been terrible and include players we wouldn’t want to lose.
O-Knowz
Can we trade CP3 for him today? Jk.
swiftycent
Lol. Tbh this makes little sense. Dame isn’t at cp3 point in career. No way he’s wanting to be curry’s #2
tommie317
mid-season deal may still be possible if Dame ain’t traded in the offseason. The problem is, who is coming off the bench?
DarthLucky
When he’s 38 I think it could work.
beezybreezy
Dame would have been a bad fit. Klay isn’t a great defender anymore but our back court would have been very undersized and weak defensively with Curry+Dame.
Whoiskimmy
needed it

If that went through this would be KD all over again

The CP3 trade is just as much as shredding his salary after this season for the new CBA luxury tax penalties which kicks in next season. Dame’s salary would mean losing one if not two of the OG3. Also, CP3 is a much better fit this season at least he is at the point of his career where running the second unit is not such an insult.

If one is honest with this, one should notice that it would be hard squeezing Dame into the system. I doubt that he would come of the bench easily like CP3 may now. Also would you want to start Klay as SF, who has lost some of his defensive skill after two serious injuries? Also it would mean a massive disrespect to him, which is not consistent with the procedure of appreciating him with an extension during his injury. And I don’t really see the three guard lineup either. Firepower be as it may
Puggravy
I love his spirit and I hope he gets to play in Oakland some day. No harm in trying, right!
coco_copagana
I think FO was smart not making the trade. It would have gutted the future and depth. And the fit would be like with DLo.
I like Dame but I don’t think he fit and CP3 fit better.
depravityseance
We know he’d like to play here and deserves to. It would be fun.
Nightmannn
One way street. Dame is an Oakland legend but there’s no way we could make it make sense
Nessmuk58
Makes no sense at all at his salary. His contribution and style of play would conflict with our existing skill set and offense, not complement it. Poole’s salary would left us ~$18 million short of Dame’s, so who else were we going to ship to POR? Wiggs? Klay? Draymond?

Package would have been either
– JP & Wiggs + picks
– JP, JK, PBJ and moody + picks

Tldr: LeDame would be a terrible GM.

This make no sense at all.
It makes no sense, but i would’ve been down for the chaos lol. Also Dame repping Oakland would be pretty dope.
