The interesting thing to note in the article outside of everything that we pretty much know is that it mentions the Knicks plan to give Roby a chance to earn the backup PF spot.

It is absolutely insane that the Knicks didn’t trade Obi, Grimes, Fournier and 3 picks for Paul George if that’s all it cost.

Low key would’ve been an interesting trade to do for the first proposed one. Losing Grimes for a PG upgrade would be huge get but of course the risk of injury and decline is there with an extension that ties you up. But yea I think I would’ve leaned on doing it
Not sure if the hesitation was from the clippers or the Knicks in the extension, I always felt the clippers were hesitant in doing any trade because of their new stadium
And here’s a thought, if they were open to this now it could also mean they’d still do it at the deadline.

PG is 33..he got 2 good years left at most and thats if he is healthy and doesn’t get seriously hurt within the first year…pass

Knicks really about to be too stingy on trades and waste Brunson and Randle’s bargain contract years

Wtf this would’ve been a steal! We would’ve been trading one relevant player in Grimes and picks smh

I will never understand why Knicks are so hellbent on keeping Grimes. That’s now a second trade they declined for a star in the last two years because they didn’t want to part with grimes

Toppin Quickley Fournier and 3 first round picks for PG was the trade offer by clippers, that’s insane 6 players for ,1 is stupid and to top it off PG wanted 220 million. So glad it didn’t happen, talk about fleecing

There is a reason the Clippers don’t want to max extend PG. Why should we?
