> Britney Spears was allegedly assaulted Wednesday night in Vegas, after a member of NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama’s security backhanded her in the face, and she has filed a police report.
> The incident went down at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel around 8:30 PM. Britney, along with her husband, Sam Asghari, and 2 others went to the restaurant for dinner. She was swarmed by fans as she entered the casino.
> Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor. We’re told she’s a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together. She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we’re told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs — the team that drafted Victor last month — instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground … knocking her glasses off.
> Britney composed herself and went to her table. We’re told the security guy came over to the table and apologized. He said, “You understand how it is when you’re being swarmed by fans.” He apologized and Britney accepted it.
> Britney’s security team spent time with Victor’s security guy, and afterward her team filed a police report with the Metropolitan Police Dept. alleging battery.

Excuse me what
Wemby Soprano
His team defense is insane
“Hit me Wemby one more time”
She’s not that innocent!
-Wemby’s security
We’re living in a simulation
My brain short circuited seeing “Britney Spears” and “Victor Wembanyama” in the same sentence. Sounds like an Onion article or something
The degree of impunity with which personal security details can act with has always confused me. Like they do shit all the time that would be classified as assault for normal citizens, but since they’re “protecting” famous person it’s fine?
Well he’s getting fired. A backhand that knocks a 41 year old woman to the ground sounds like an overreaction for a tap on the shoulder.
I feel like slapping the sonic rings out of a small middle aged blonde lady is an overreaction to your guy getting tapped on the shoulder.
Imagine backhanding a 120ish pound woman and only feeling bad when you realize it was Britney Spears.
Mofucka getting fired hard. What an idiot. Backhanding a woman, what a great guy. Even if she was a random fan fuck that guy.
Wait it wasn’t even Wemby’s personal security? It was the director of team security for the Spurs as a whole?!
I seriously hope this isn’t true, ridiculousness aside. This is a pro-Britney household. He may have to lose the offending hand, code of Hammurabi style
The Dame saga was just a ruse to distract us from what’s *really* happening
“The San Antonio Spurs have waived Victor Wembanyama.”
Droppingdimes didn’t call this one
This doesn’t reflect on Wemby I guess, but man they might be going too far on the “protect the star” racket.
“I thought you were a regular person which would have made me slapping you acceptable”
#LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!
This is the wildest headline
Spurs always have a good defense
This is a ridiculous ass headline, I had to read this shit like 6 times.
how can we be sure it wasn’t a flop
Update as of 9:10am PT:
“We’re told Vegas police brass will be meeting face-to-face with Britney Spears this morning to discuss the incident.
Our law enforcement sources tell us the cops who responded to ARIA reviewed security camera footage showing Smith push Britney’s hand away … and then her hand, not Smith’s, struck her face.”
I never expected to see Britney Spears and Victor Wembanyama in the same headline
Security guy should be fired. A severe overreaction to a tap on the shoulder.
I shouldn’t be laughing at this
Yeah, Spurs better off firing the dude. You can protect the guy without beating down a woman. Biggest surprise is Britney being a fan or knowing who he is.
Holy shit people online are not liking violence on Britney. Spurs better smooth this out asap
I almost died until I read the last word of the headline.
